We are hosting a series of community events to give people the opportunity to learn more about our latest designs for East West Rail.
Beginning this month, design update events will take place along our proposed route between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. The events will showcase how public feedback has helped shape our plans, following the publication of our You Said, We Did report last November, which set out more than 80 design changes made in response to previous feedback.
At each event, members of the East West Rail team will be available to explain the designs and answer questions on the proposals. The sessions are being held in areas where community and stakeholder input has led to the most significant changes.
These events come ahead of a route-wide consultation planned for later this year. A formal planning application, known as a Development Consent Order, is expected to be submitted in 2027.
David Hughes, CEO, EWR Co, said: “We are committed to working closely with local communities and listening to their views, and these events provide the opportunity for local people to find out more about the plans we published last year.”
