We’re delighted to welcome a new Engineering, Technical and Safety Director to East West Rail (EWR).
Andrew Went has a strong and proven track record within the rail industry and is currently Head of Rail Engineering at Arup, and also a Board Member at the Railway Industry Association. With consistent backing from consecutive governments, we are now progressing with detailed designs for the railway and Andrew will play a key role in taking the project forward.

Andrew Went will begin work on East West Rail in the Spring. He will lead our company’s design work as we prepare for our upcoming Statutory Consultation and subsequent DCO submission.
